Practically Perfect in Every Way

Some of my favorite things about the past two weeks...

Cruising on Don's VIP Wine Tour bus to the Tobin James Industry Party. I mean, seriously? A Mercedes BUS? What is this, Europe? I have signed in blood I won't post 99% of pictures from the event, so I'll leave you with this classic shot. Don't even ask what we're doing because honestly, I have no idea. Unlimited wine at the bar topped with random full bottles appearing in my hand out of nowhere led to a very hilarious night. Of course that led to a very awful morning, but that's a different story.

As you may recal from my last post, we planned a last-minute trip up to San Fran to see our DC bffs! Luckily for us, we were able to cram a TON into two short days and did the following:
  • Attend the Garcia/DeHoyos family reunion. Unfortunately, I was so preoccupied with eating my 30lbs of bbq that I didn't take a single picture!
  • Spend time with Kiel's parents, sister, brother-in-law, cousins, and lots of other people we don't see nearly often enough. Again, pictures would be nice, eh? Kristen, did you take any?
  • Ate our way through SF, including stops at Boccalone, Palomino, Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39, and my love: Ghiradelli.
  • Spend some amazing time with my aunt, uncle, and ahhdorable little (and not so little, considering Brendan is 21 and about 8ft tall) cousins in San Jose. What was supposed to be a "stop and chat" turned into "stop, chat, stay for dinner, stay for margaritas and fireworks, get home around 2am". Oh well, some things are just worth sleepy work days! :)
  • Oh, and did I mention I was reunited with my brunette other half?We were so.incredibly.happy to spend time with one of our favorite couples in the whole wide world. Deebs and I taking random ridiculous pictures while Eric and Kiel look up sports scores on their iPhone/Blackberry? Some things will NEVER change!
In case any of you reading would like to see more pics from a great whirlwind trip up to the Bay, here's an album from the Book of Face.

One of my new favorite things to do in the evening is our "wino walks" around SLO. It's so nice to walk around, enjoy the crisp, cool evenings, and explore this sweet little town we call home. It's even nicer when you add a classy plastic cup of wine...what open container?!?!My stud muffin.

Trying to get a shot of the fog rolling in over Madonna Mountain. One of my FAVORITE things about the Central Coast is that while it peaks around 75-80 midday, it gets down in the 50s-60s in the evenings. Here I am, modeling my Ugg footwear in mid-July, after wearing a sleeveless dress all day!
Okay, coffee's done and I need to get ready to pour at the Central Coast Wine Classic. 500 people, 60 wineries, and a whole lot of the purple stuff... my idea of Heaven! :)
