Friday Favorites: Weekly Recap

I just realized I blogged about Kiel's birthday but never finished my post from last weekend. Since I had already uploaded the pics, I'll just add some more and caption away. This, as you know, is my go-to blog template because a) it is easy and b) it is really easy.

Just had to post this shot (taken very sneakily, I may add) of my version of Porn for Women. Yes ladies, not only is he vacuuming, but he even uses the hose to get under the vanity/behind the potty/etc. Be still, my heart. On Friday, we biked down to Concerts in the Plaza, where we ended up at the beer vendor mingling with friends and never even saw the band play...where we all ended up going to the Creeky Tiki for post-concert drinks...where we then ended up going to Native for post-post-concert drinks...where we finally ended up at a table for 12 at Sumo Sushi for post-post-post-concert saki and sush.
Oh, sush AND some ice cream for the *almost* birthday boy. He seems so thrilled. Luckily, it was Amy's bday too so he shared the spotlight.I've been trying to get a shot of the fog rolling in over Madonna Mountain to accurately capture how GORGEOUS it is every evening as the fog comes in from the coast... I think I'm getting closer to achieving success. All snuggled up at the drive-in, just waiting for it to get dark.I absolutely LOVE the vintage snack bar ads they run...Almost as much as I LOVE Ellen Page.Up bright and early Saturday morning to spend a day relaxing on the lake with Sterling and Roxan. SOMEONE seems to be enjoying herself.Enjoying some shade to escape the scorching day. How it's 78 degrees in SLO and 98 degrees 25 mi north in Paso is beyond me!At the fair last night, we just couldn't resist this pic!GOOOO COCKS!I wanted to take this little nugget home...until I actually smelled it. Waiting for Jeff to appear, and killing time by counting the number of teeth, camouflage outfits, and clear stripper heels we could find in the audience. I asked Kiel if he wanted to change out of his work clothes, but it wasn't really worth it since he doesn't own a "Git 'er done" wife beater. My favorite part of the Jeff Dunham show? The long trailer he showed for "Dinner for Schmucks", which he's in. Oh em gee, I can't wait to see that flick.
Aaaannnndddd, that brings us up to this weekend. Kiel has had a crazy busy week at work (minus Tuesday when they sent him home) and I think some strict r&r is in order. Netflix, pizza, glasses of vino, and snuggs with my hubby sound like an INCREDIBLE Friday night.
